The tradition of Nihonmatsu furniture is said to have originated when Niwa Mitsushige, the first daimyo of the Nihonmatsu Domain, substantially rebuilt Nihonmatsu Castle in what is now Fukushima Prefecture.
We have continuously crafted fine furniture since our foundation in 1869.

The traditional furniture of Nimotomatsu, which boasts excellent technology, design and quality cultivated over its long history, has been handed down for 150 years by a number of artisans.
